How does therapy help?

Life can often be overwhelming and difficult. Within every person there is power and potential for healing and growth. Sometimes it is difficult to know where to start — you do not have to cope on your own. It is possible to feel better! I assist clients in understanding the interplay of thoughts, feelings, and behavior that contribute to the distress in their lives. Hope grows when these patterns are understood in the context of their past experiences. Together we can remove the barriers to achieving happiness and stability. By focusing on your strengths, we can develop a plan to address your individual needs. Using a variety of evidence-based approaches (including CBT, ACT, DBT), helps you to become empowered to make changes to improve the quality of your life.
